About the Alumni Association

We are the men and women who are dedicating ourselves to the advancement of the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at Florida Tech. We engage with our fellow alumni, develop our undergraduate brothers, and improve our chapter house and property.

Led by volunteers and supported through the generous donations of fellow alumni, ZSAA is guided by a board of directors consisting of four officers who were elected on November 4, 2024: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Working with this board are our Communications Chair, our President Emeritus, and a Member at Large.

Message from the ZSAA President

For 2025, it has been a true honor to serve as the Zeta Sigma Alumni Association President. The exceptional volunteers of the ZSAA make my role enjoyable. A special thanks to my Board: Dave Murphy, John Terwilliger, Michael Donovan, Jim Hughes, Dave Munion, and Sue Corbley for their dedication and effort over the past year.

The top priority for the ZSAA has been communication. We are therefore excited to announce the launch of our new website, ZSPIKES.com. Special thanks to Loren Strand, House Corporation President; Jim Hughes, ZSAA President Emeritus; and Michael Donovan, ZSAA Secretary, for their help with this project.

Our communication efforts focus on keeping our Alumni informed about all ZSAA activities. Michael Donovan has done an outstanding job with Alumni outreach in 2025. What we need from our Alumni is feedback regarding our communication efforts. Please take the time to read our emails, browse the website, check our Facebook page, and respond accordingly. We need Alumni input to improve our outreach continually.

Coming soon to your physical mailboxes is our ZSAA Holiday Card. The card features photos of our Alumni coming together in Brotherhood in 2025. On the back, you’ll find information on how to stay connected as an alumnus. We hope you enjoy the memories and the chance to continue supporting ZSAA.

The House Corporation has done an excellent job stabilizing the finances of both the Actives and the House Corporation. While they continue to improve their efforts and become more sustainable, the Alumni Association has stepped up and funded general improvements to help the Actives showcase the House as a place for future Pikes to live and feel they belong. Please read Brother Donovan’s 2025 Year in Review for more details. Your Annual Contributions make this support of our Actives possible.

Thank you all for your support. There is no doubt that the Zeta Sigma Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is a unique group of outstanding men. I am truly honored to have been a part of this Brotherhood for the past 48 years.

In the Bonds,
John Corbley ‘77

ZSAA President
